George Luke, sculptor and painter, was born in Melbourne and studied art at the National Gallery School, Melbourne becoming part of the realist group of left wing artists and sculptors. He later moved to Brisbane to live, but exhibited as a sculptor in Melbourne in the 1960s with the Realist Group. In subsequent years he exhibited widely in Australia. |
